RURAL WOMEN CHANGEMAKERS PROGRAM

About the program

The program aims to empower women between the ages of 22-30 who live and work in rural areas with a strong desire to develop themselves and improve their leadership skills. In addition to developing leadership, communication, negotiation, media relations, and time management skills, participants deepen their understanding of human rights, gender equality, project management, and the environment. The program also provides an opportunity for the participants to get acquainted with the development of Mongolia’s leading development sectors, meet with leaders in each sector, and establish contacts with them. During the program, the Zorig Foundation covers the cost of hotels, meals, and transportation to and from Ulaanbaatar.

What are the requirements for the program?

The program has the following requirements:

  • Be 22-30 years of age
  • Live and work in the local community
  • Have a desire for self-development and learning new things
  • Be able to participate in the program for 2 weeks.

Frequently asked questions

The program is open to women who have recently graduated and are living and working in their local community, as the program is designed for young professionals who want to develop their leadership skills as soon as they start their careers.

It is held in Ulaanbaatar for two weeks.

Women aged 22-30 who live and work in the rural community are eligible.

Women working in all fields are eligible.

21 young people from 21 provinces are open to take part.

Mission trip expenses are not covered. During the program, the hotel, food, and travel expenses in Ulaanbaatar are fully covered by the implementing agency.

The program application form is filled out online through the Facebook page-Zorig Foundation and Website- www.zorigsan.mn.

The selection of the program will be conducted in two stages and the first stage will be based on the submitted materials and essays. The second round will be based on a telephone interview.
